Going to these events publicises the boat and it's history (including the working boatmen and women), the work of the Canal & River Trust, the Stoke Bruerne Canal Museum and the work of the Friends of the Canal Museum. We won't probably be able to go to all the events listed (they are our 'wish list') but it does show the vitality of the waterways movement these days.
02/03/04/05-May - IWA Northampton rally at Braunston24/25/26-May - Crick Boat Show on behalf of CRT13/14/15-June - Stoke Bruerne Canal Family Festival28/29-June - Historic Boats event at Braunston19-July - Cosgrove Festival13/14-September - Stoke Bruerne Village at War weekend26/27/28-September - Blacking and dry docking at Braunston (leave SB 25-Sep AM and return 29-Sep PM)05/06-October - to the bottom of Stoke Bruerne flight for 20 tons of coal - first time loaded since 1988During October and November we hope to undertake some trips through to Gayton and back and down to the iron trunk aqueduct to give our crews experience of handling a loaded boat
